This policy explains what personal data Sham Truck processes and why. It is a plain-language summary, not legal advice, and may be updated as the service evolves.
Who is responsible

What we collect
- Account data: your name, email address, mobile number, and an optional profile photo.
- Driver documents: drivers who register with the app submit their driver license number, vehicle details (make, model, year, color, plate number, load capacity), and photos of their license and vehicle registration so trips can be matched to suitable trucks.
- Trip data: pickup and drop-off locations, shipment notes, prices, and trip status history.
- Location: approximate location while the app is in use, and precise location only while a trip is active, so nearby drivers can see requests and shipments can be tracked.
- Ratings and reports: ratings you leave for other users and any abuse reports filed about a trip.
- Technical data: device and app information needed to keep the service running and secure.
How we use your data
- To match shipment requests with suitable nearby drivers and complete trips.
- To calculate transparent price estimates instead of negotiated bargaining.
- To verify drivers and keep the community safe (document review, ratings).
- To provide support and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data.
Who sees your data
- The counterparty on a trip (driver or customer) sees the contact details and trip information they need to complete it.
- Nearby drivers can see open requests (route and load size) until one of them is accepted.
- Our hosting and maps providers process limited technical data on our behalf.
Retention and deletion
Trip records are kept while your account exists and may be retained in anonymised form for legal or analytical purposes. You can request account deletion from within the app; we then remove your personal data in line with applicable law, except where we must retain specific records.
